The Seine Academy Courtyard was two things. "Beautiful, yet dangerous," Dylan thought. When she saw everyone in shorts she silently cursed the baggage people at the airport for not all bringing her trunks in at the same time. Her Spring/Winter trunk would have to do for now.

Dylan Marvil breathed a sigh of relief as the Seine Academy logged limousine pulled up in front of the huge iron gates. "Get ready for another great year with so many new people," Dylan thought. The driver pressed a silver square and the gates opened. "Mademoiselle Marvil, Welcome back to Seine Academy." The driver's accent was thick but Dylan could still understand him. As the limo pulled up to the all-marble entrance as an eager blonde haired woman walked through the entrance door with a remote controlled luggage cart. "Bonjour Miss Marvil, the cart will take your bags to your wing, but in the meantime I will need you to check in." She held out her personalized scanner/iPhone4S. "Nice to see you too Madamoiselle Monet!" Dylan said eagerly as she swiped her Student ID into the scanner. With a small, BEEP it flashed the green light: ACCEPTED across the screen. "I'll be seeing you at the Welcome Banquet tomorrow, yes?" Madamoiselle Monet asked as she typed away on her iPhone not looking up. Dylan was too busy watching the driver speed away to answer. "Oh, yes!" Madamoiselle Monet raised her eyebrows and walked back inside. Just then, another limo passed through the gates and almost ran into Dylan's Louis Vuitton. She quickly grabbed it out of harm's way. "STOP!" Dylan heard a girls voice call as the limo screeched to a halt. A tall blonde haired girl flung open the door and stumbled out. "I can't believe this driver doesn't speak English! I'm so sorry about your bag is it okay?" Dylan slowly nodded, there was something about that blonde haired girl. Someone that she reminded Dylan of. Those bright blue eyes, the messed up bangs, the hand me down clothes, it all made sense. "Hi," the girl extended her hand. "I'm Sara, Cousin of Claire Lyons."

Dylan Marvil lifted her sunglasses off of her head as she sat up on her white lounge chair. She turned around to see her sister Jamie in her usual spot, forever bleach blonde and reading an old issue of Vogue. "Hey Jaim, where'd Ry go?" Jamie put down her magazine, looked over at her sister's empty lounge chair and shrugged. Dylan slipped on her custom made flip flops and hurried inside. Her mother, Merri-Lee was laying on the couch in the downstairs family room watching a Law and Order: SVU marathon while eating a grilled chicken salad. "Mom? Have you seen Ryan around here, she went in the house twenty minutes ago to get me more tanning oil." Merri-Lee turned to face her daughter and put down her salad bowl. She reached for her white iPhone 4s and dialed. Ringing was heard and then her mother said a single "okay I'll tell her goodbye." Merri-Lee placed the phone back on the counter and turned to Dylan. "She's down at the beach near here, practicing long boarding," she sighed, "Why can't she be interested in something more..safe?" And with that she sat back down and turned MUTE off. "Thanks!" Dylan ran out of the house and drove her mother's gold golf cart down to the beach with a small sign that read "WEST MAUI BEACH AND REC PARK". And then Dylan saw her sister sitting with a group of very blonde and very tan guys and her mouth went dry. She cautiously walked through the irritating sand to where her sister was. "Hey, Ry, we kinda..need you home now." Dylan's oldest sister had always been the daredevil in the family, always taking risks but still looking good for any potential crushes that happened to come along the way. Her obsessions had gone from skydiving to rock climbing, and now to long boarding. Ryan jumped off the ledge with her longboard and stopped in front of Dylan. "Hey sis! Yeah sure I'll come back if Mom really wants me to, but first I'd like you to meet these guys I met down here." Dylan suddenly felt dizzy but still tried to look straight at them without them thinking she was having a hawt-ness overload. "These three are brothers and are amazing at longboard, this is Collin," she nodded toward the far left guy who was texting on his iPhone but looked up and half smiled but then looked back down again. "This is Alex," the middle guy was pretending to check his longboard for cracks and didn't even notice that his name was called. "Great," thought Dylan, "They're all hawt times ten and none of them seem interested." And then Ryan pointed toward the last guy on the far right, "this is Trent." Trent looked up, his eyes a bit greener than the rest but he smiled and jumped down to shake Dylan's hand. "Hey, Ry told me a lot about you. Do you think we could go grab a smoothie or something sometime?" Dylan's heart started beating fast and she had to force herself to look at him straight in the face. "Yeah sure I'd like that! My numbers-," Trent smiled again and showed Dylan his phone. "Already got it from your lovely big sis!" Dylan was reminded to be ever grateful to Ryan when she got home. "Well me and my brothers gotta go, our mom's expecting us now!" Trent shouted as he and his brothers grabbed their boards and jetted down the road. "Catch ya later Ry!" Trent called as they disappeared out of sight. Ryan jumped and grabbed her long board at the same time and hopped in the golf cart along with Dylan. "What'd I tell you? This summer may start to look up already!"

Hey girlies it's been soo long! I'm back in Hawaii with my mom and my sisters at our beach house before I have to go back to France for junior year :( I leave in about another month!
